How to Make A Crunchy Pizza
As a teenager, I started making pizza. I was tweaking the recipe enough that it seems worthwhile to publish it here. The recipe after refinements of over ten years is:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- 1 cup of semolina flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 refined olive oil
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix the two types of flour, salt, and sugar.
- Add the warm water, yeast, and olive oil to the bowl and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Portion the dough into fist-sized pieces and put them into boxes with some flour. Let the dough rise in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 400°C.
- Spread the dough and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Do not touch the border of the dough to keep the bubbles so that the dough can rise further in the oven. Add your favorite toppings.
- Bake the pizza dough for 2-4 minutes or until it is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and enjoy your homemade crunchy pizza.
